What to do in New York City when it Rains?

What is there to do in New York City when it rains?  During our girls’ trip to the city this year, we pondered this same question.  We were not about to sit in our hotel room and be bored when the whole city sat outside just begging to be explored!  We tried to take a walk with our umbrellas down Jeweler’s Row for some fun window shopping, but encountered salesmen popping under our umbrellas badgering us to try us to walk into their shops!  We quickly got out of there…

Tired and soaked, we did what all Irish girls do best…we found a bar to take refuge in during the torrential down pour!  We visited Maggie’s Place, Midtown’s oldest family-owned Irish restaurant.  While we didn’t eat anything there, the menu did look yummy.

The environment was cozy and inviting.  We threw back a couple beers, enjoyed the Irish accents of all the bartenders and wait staff, and warmed up a bit before going back out to brave the storm.  I would definitely go back to Maggie’s Place again, rain or shine!!
